Development Blog 3: Noble Applications, Lore, & Mercenaries

Dear community members,
A new day and a new update! First of all, we welcome two new members to our staff team, zilent and SageMcQuincy. They are actively working on the development of the scenario. We also acknowledge the community's request for a transitional scenario. We have considered it and will put out another announcement in a couple of days. Now, on to the long-awaited announcement.
Nobles Applications
It is time to choose our nobles as we continue the development of the scenario. Needless to say, I view nobles as an extension of the staff team, a core component of facilitating the flow of RP. As you may have guessed, there will be at least six nobles, two for each faction. If you wish to read more about these factions, head to the first blog. Passive family members (daughters, wives, etc.) of said nobles are allowed, and they may simply make a biography without the need for a noble application.

Special characters / organisations
The port manager runs the day-to-day affairs of the port and is a person of authority within the imperial influence on the map. They work in tandem with the guild master to provide prosperity for the port town and its inhabitants.
The innkeeper manages the inn just outside the port town. They are an essential part of RP as the inn serves as a major RP hub within the scenario. A certain level of dedication is expected of the innkeeper.
You may apply for any of these characters here with a noble/special character application.
New mercenary system
A new mechanic for mercenaries will be implemented. Players will no longer have the ability to apply for organizations as mercenaries. This has long been viewed as a low-effort attempt to get geared quickly while offering little to the scenario. Therefore, we will be providing mercenaries in the form of ECs, led by staff or a respected member of this community, to ensure good quality RP and avoid any rule breaks which hinder the RP. However, players may still form mercenay groups in-character if they so wish, and we will still provide assistance in terms of forum boards or even list them with the other mercenaries. Lore
A portion of the lore has been finished and posted. We will continue posting lore as it is completed. You can start by viewing the scenario overview and map illustration. Use the lore to help you build an idea of the world we're in and to help you build a character to be invested in. Lore about the realms is derived from the offical Bannerlord lore. Lore about culture and religion is custome yet important to read as it sets the tone for how players should carry themselves, lest they stray too far and start portraying real-world history. Custom files
If you wish to have a more authentic experience with Anoma 2, then we've got you covered. Members of the community have assisted us in putting together custom files that will go along with our scripts' QoL features, stamina bar, etc. This file will include things such as main menu art, menu soundtrack, game soundtrack, instrument pieces (flute, etc.), loading screens 1 & 2 art, banners, etc. We'll let you know when the files are ready. Here's a sample of what to expect:

Changes to building requests
As we are using new mapping tools, we have decided to give the players the chance to map their own building requests. This will mainly be done for large projects and such. Once the BR has been accepted, the applicant can do the mapping on a separate file, and we can port it into our own map. Needless to say, the quality must be on par with the rest of the map.
Lastly, we want to share some teasers of the map with you, thank you for your ineterst in Anoma.
